NAME: The Tenacity of Remembering
TYPE: exhibition
DATE: 4/4/19-4/21/19
LOCATION: Elisabeth Jones Art Center
COLLABORATORS:  Mark Dugally

DESCRIPTION:  This work was created in collaboration with artist Mark Dugally for his Tenacity of Remembering project which is rooted in the ideas of freedom, sacrifice, and the self-immolation of the Tibetan monks fighting spiritual persecution.  We took this notion and built an entryway styled after a Tibetan monastery incorporating the element of white brick which can be found in many Tibetan monasteries today.  The entry way served as a reflection space for visitors as they made there way into the exhibit area where talking was prohibited.  The project was built using 100% salvaged materials.
